Bathroom Fires & mountain scaling

Fri Nov 6, 2009, 6:37 PM
Firstly, this story starts out with the ecology club that I am in going to mt. ida, a small place in arkansas USA to mine for crystals and such. We arrive and we workers are talking about the sheer face of the mountain, which has a completely vertical stretch of about 87 feet or so. Near the top they had been mining before the rain swept the road out so they had to stop, leaving some lovely crystals exposed near the very top. While the sponsor of the club who had come with us was looking up at the mountain with a look of horror, someone behind me stated "climbing that thing would probably kill you." While meantime I'm thinking two things. Number one "I'm afraid of heights", number two "I bet I could climb that". So of course within minutes I'm climbing the mountain without equipment of any kind, my fear and sanity left at the bottom. The club said it only took me 7-8 minutes to scale the entire 87 foot vertical section of the mountain and get those crystals I kept eying. The promise of shiny things and the adrenaline made my vertigo nonexistent xDD.
As we went to eat dinner, we noticed this strange smell emanating from the back rooms of the restaurant. Evidently the entire bathroom had somehow caught fire. The entire restaurant was closed, and we had to go somewhere else to eat, though most other places were closed by this time. Oh well, the beer is coming soon and we're all having a nice big party to celebrate no one dying in the fire. xD Oh, did I mention that this is what happened last year when we came here? [link] The people working here actually told me to warn them when I'm coming back so they can close down the entire town. So far, a productive weekend.

Your stuff is awesome. My friend and I were playing the game and had many of those same ideas xDD, so it was awesome to see someone else have them, as proof we're not completely insane.
